Tis the Season for Cake Pops

I've been busier than the Keebler Elf this holiday season! I love it though because Christmas is my favorite holiday. I've been keeping myself in the holiday spirit making my Christmas themed cake popsicles since I know I know Santa will be stopping by my house for some! So check out what I have made this year to show Santa what a good lil' baker I've been. (Check out the gallery for more pictures!)

Gobble Til' You Wobble Time!

Who's ready for turkey?!

Thanksgiving Day is just around the corner but my kitchen is already surrounded with smells of pumpkin spice cake. It's easy to forget about Thanksgiving since all the stores have moved in the Christmas merchandise the day after Halloween but my family and I have always made this day extra special with our annual dessert competition. Guess what I'll be bringing?

Don't let Thanksgiving Day come and go. Find a way to make it extra special by spending this day with friends, family, football and food.

Scary Movie Pops

When my brother requested cake popsicles inspired by scary movies for Halloween... I took this opportunity to have some fun and pay homage to some iconic characters from The Grudge, Hell Raiser and the Saw movies. These were very challenging to say the least. I had to place these silver sprinkles on one at a time by hand and shaped the black licorice for the Grudge Pop's hair. So Happy Halloween everyone and stay safe when you're out there getting your spook on! Check out the gallery more photos!

It's a boy!

Welcome Baby Boy!

My lab mates threw a Baby Shower lunch celebration for a fellow co-worker and while lunch was catered, I brought in dessert! I made little baby chicks, little babies and other decorated cake popsicles for this special lunch. The chicks were fun to do and very whimsical and a great idea for Easter. This is my first time (and successful) at mixing a flesh tone color for the babies as well. So keep me in mind if you're hosting any baby showers soon!

It's show time!

Now showing at the Cake Popsicle Theatre: Cats, Hairspray, Wicked and The Lion King! I had a blast making these Broadway themed cake popsicles for a friend and very happy with how they turned out. I used the theatre posters as the inspiration for the design and set the cake popsicles up on a stage with a city skyline and posters in the background. The design pops did take longer to make but so much fun to mix the colors and use my piping skills on the designs. I will be sad to part with these cake popsicles as they make their way to a party but I know that they will certainly be a hit! Check out the gallery for close up photos!

Halloween Cake Pops!

I love Halloween and the creativity it inspires. This is the best time to throw a party and best excuse to eat lots and lots of sweets. Halloween is a no-calorie day, or at least that's what I tell myself! Aside from working on my costume, I'm also working on some Halloween themed cake pops: skeleton, mummy, jack o'lanterns, witches, eyeballs and just some decorative cake pops that will be an awesome treat for any office or school Halloween party. Let me know if you'll need some for your party!

Cake Popsicle Taste Test Success

First test batch of cake pops.

I've spent the week perfecting my recipes on my cake popsicles. After several trials, I finally got the swing of things and whipped up several dozens of dark chocolate, lemon, strawberry, red velvet, blueberry, carrot cake and toasted coconut & taro. It was quite an ambitious feat but I pulled it off and shared it with friends and family for feedback. So far, so good...so keep the constructive feedback coming! I'm looking forward to doing a lot more cake popsicles so let me know if you want to place an order for an upcoming event.
